World Swim Day
Enjoy the benefits of swimming
Let's find a swim session for you!
Swimming is one of the most accessible forms of activity, with pools offering something for people of all ages, ability, and backgrounds. The buoyancy of the water provides the feeling of weightlessness, whilst the resistance means that swimming can offer a total body workout.
World Swim Day is an international holiday that encourages people around the world to be active in the water and celebrate the benefits of swimming! Taking place on Saturday 26th October 2024, we're here to support you whatever stage of your swimming journey.
Let's take a look at some of the sessions we have on offer, and the benefits that swimming can bring.
Learn a lifelong skill
Swimming lessons provide freedom, fun, and endless opportunities to create life long memories in and around the water. We deliver lessons that follow the Swim England Framework for babies through to adults.
Feel the benefits of regular swimming
The benefits of swimming can be felt whether you take a leisurely swim to wind down after a long day or want to push yourself and hit a new PB. Swimming releases endorphins, burns calories, and increases your overall fitness, all while being gentle on your joints. Learn more about the casual swimming sessions we offer below.
Stay motivated on your journey
SWIMTAG is a smart swim tracking device that is available for free at our centres*. It takes detailed insights from your swim, sets challenges, offers training plans and more to keep you motivated on your swimming journey

Swimming sessions offer an opportunity to socialise and meet likeminded friends. One of our most popular and social workout classes is aquafit. In this class, we use floats and weights to build muscle tone and endurance. Read the blog to find out why people love aquafit.
Making swimming more accessible
We are proud to support the Face Everything and Rise (FEAR) charity by facilitating swimming sessions that are safe for children and adults that are artificially fed or receiving treatment through a central line, who would not otherwise be able to access a pool. For some people, it’s their first ever opportunity to go swimming!
Create lifelong memories
Our centres provide many different ways to keep active as a family. Whether that’s at one of our pay as you go family fun sessions, tackling an inflatable obstacle course, parent and child swimming lessons, or maybe even a birthday party! Find your nearest centre to browse the sessions available near you.
Find a centre near you
We operate over 80 facilities across the UK, and whilst no two are exactly the same, you'll be greeted by the same great service and a friendly team of staff at your local centre.
