Contending against ukactive’s 4,000 members and partners from across the UK’s public, private and third-party sectors – to be nominated, let alone shortlisted for an award is an honour.
Award nominations include:
- Regional & National Club/Centre of the Year: Maltby Leisure Centre
- New Concept, Build or Design of the Year: Places Leisure Camberley
- Developing and Supporting Communities Following on from COVID-19 Award: Places Leisure COVID Recovery Programme (in collaboration with Travis Perkins Managed Services, CAWS® Rebuild™ training programme, and exercise referral software specialists, ReferAll)
- The Jan Spaticchia Special Recognition Award: Andy Read, Head of Safety
Places Leisure takes great pride in providing the very best experience for its customers and communities – to be recognised on a national level inspires the whole organisation to keep building on that acknowledgement and work even harder.
Paul McPartlan, CEO of Places Leisure said, “We’re delighted to have been named as finalists for four industry awards! The last two years have been incredibly difficult for our industry – I’m so proud that even in the face of such enormous adversity, we have been able to rebuild and keep our customers and communities active. These nominations serve as a testament to the hard work of our teams and partners. We just couldn’t be happier!”
The ukactive award ceremony is set to take place on 30th June at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham.
