Harlands

Our payments provider

Why Harlands?

As a social enterprise who invests its profits back into the centres we run, it’s important that we are able to confidently collect membership payments so that we can continually improve our facilities and services. Therefore, Direct Debit payments are collected on our behalf by the Harlands Group, a BACS approved specialist membership payment services provider.

Harlands are a dedicated team who will also look after your membership changes - including membership freezes, cancellation requests and any payment difficulties or issues that you may experience.

What does this mean for me?

  • Your membership monthly price, entitlements, payment dates and entry on your bank statement are not affected.
  • Any communications regarding your direct debit payments will come from the Harlands Group, via email, SMS text messages or letter, which may include links to their online payment portal called Payflex.
  • In line with UK banking practice, an administration charge of £20 will be introduced for any scheduled Direct Debit payments that are returned and notified to us as unpaid by your bank. This charge is set aside to cover the cost of failed-payment administration and banking charges. These administration charges will be waived by Harlands for the first 3 months. If you feel you will be unable to make a scheduled payment, we’d encourage you to speak to Harlands in advance, so they can help prevent a failed payment. This will also avoid you incurring charges from your own bank.
