What happens when your teacher is off
In most centres our lessons run 50 weeks of the year (some exclusions apply). But from time to time our swim teacher team take a well earned break to spend time with their families and unfortunately sometimes sickness and other things crop up meaning they have to take time off.
When this happens our aim is always to provide a cover teacher who is qualified and experienced to take on teaching the level and ability of the class. We always believe it’s better to deliver a lesson, so cancellation is a last resort.
The electronic devices that we use on poolside record attendance, and also the child’s progress in their current stage, so our cover teachers know what the children are working on and what they can do to ensure continued progression. If there are particular areas that need to be delivered in the class your regular teacher will discuss this with your cover teacher wherever possible.
Our teachers have regular meetings and share good practice so although no two teachers will be exactly the same they will understand how other teachers plan their lessons. Our teachers love meeting new classes and are always excited to see what can be achieved in their cover lessons!
