Changing room etiquette

Tips and tricks to ensure a positive environment for everyone

The winter weather teamed with our busiest months throughout our centres, sees an increase of footfall into our changing rooms. With this in mind we have put together some little tips and tricks to ensure a positive environment for all our customers.

Remove your shoes

With this time of year bringing all manner of weather conditions, please take off your outdoor shoes at your centres designated removal point and store them safely in lockers provided to reduce the amount of dirt and mud being walked through the changing rooms.

Lockers and changing cubicles

Please ensure belongings are placed and locked securely in our lockers, there are limited changing cubicles available so it is important that lockers are used to allow others to change. Some of centres use a coin operated locker system whilst others take a padlock, which can be purchased at reception. If you are unsure which system your centre uses, please visit your local centre’s website or ask a member of our team next time you visit!

Our teams our working hard to ensure that your centre upholds high standards of cleanliness, any clothing or belongings left unattended will be assumed as lost property, so please ensure you take your property with you or store it in the lockers provided.

Use the bins provided

There is only one place that rubbish belongs…so please continue to use the bins provided to dispose of your rubbish. Once again, as we have limited changing cubicles and locker spaces, please make sure that all litter and nappies etc get placed into the relevant bins provided.

Mobile phone use

To ensure our changing rooms continue to offer a safe and comfortable space for all customers, please refrain from using mobile phones in these areas, your actions could be misconstrued by others, so we ask that you please keep your phones in your bag.

Be considerate

Due to the fact that changing areas may be busier than usual and used by people of all ages, it is important that whilst in these communal spaces, you remain respectful of other people’s personal space and boundaries when changing.

Report any issues

Whilst our team carry out regular checks of these areas, please advise a member of our team if you notice anything out of the ordinary.
