We’re changing systems

Here’s everything you need to know

We recently contacted you regarding an upcoming transfer of our systems, which included information on some changes to the way you make and manage bookings.
Here’s everything you need to know.

Will there be changes to the way I make and manage bookings

There will be some temporary changes to how you make bookings whilst the system transfer takes place.

For sessions taking place from 13th February until 2nd March, please use your current login details to book via the Places Leisure app or our website.

For sessions taking place from 3rd March onwards, please use your new login details to book via the Places Leisure app or our website.

When booking on the app, head to the bookings section and select the correct booking tile based on the date of the session you wish to book.

From 3rd March, you can continue to make and manage bookings in the normal way using your new login details.

Will there be changes to the Places Leisure app?

From 3rd March, we will be making some changes to the digital fitness section within the Places Leisure app. We will be introducing a new digital fitness app, in partnership with Technogym. The Technogym app allows you to enjoy all the same benefits as before, including building personalised workouts, connecting your fitness devices and tracking your progress.

From 3rd March you can head to the digital fitness section of the Places Leisure app, click to download the Technogym app and use your account details and new password to login.

Will there be any changes to the way I check in?

From 3rd March, if you usually check in at a kiosk in centre for your pre-booked sessions, you will no longer need to do this. Simply head to the access gate and scan your digital membership card (QR code) to enter.

Does the new system have waiting lists for sessions?

Yes, the new system has a waiting list function, which you can add yourself to via the app or website.

As soon as a space becomes available you will be sent an alert. If you signed up via the app you will receive an email and an app notification. If you booked via the website, you will receive an email. To receive an alert via the app, you need to make sure your app notifications are turned on. You won’t receive an email if you have opted out to emails.

The waiting list is cleared 2 hours before the session start time, this is because some members on the waiting list may no longer want to attend the session, and this gives everyone a chance to book a space.

I’m a member, and pay by Direct Debit, will the system change affect my Direct Debit?

If you have a Direct Debit with us, there will be changes to this, all details will be communicated to you directly via an email or letter.
