Tahirah's story

In February 2020, Tahirah finally became pregnant with her first baby. A couple of years later, baby number 2 was on the way!

In February 2020, Tahirah finally became pregnant with her first baby. “What an exciting time, but wow how scary too!” she says. A couple of years later, baby number 2 was on the way!

Amid balancing the excitement and anxiety of having children, Tahirah celebrated her 40th birthday, but realised she had lost herself in motherhood. “Whilst having my children is the biggest blessing in the world it also came along with some many challenges.“ she added.

Tahirah hasn’t properly exercised for around eight years, and she’s desperate to get back to the gym again and feel energised after working out. Every time she left the gym, Tahirah felt like she could take on the world. “The boost it gave me was phenomenal, and that's what I want to achieve again.”

2024 is the year to do so! Tahirah’s goal is all about wellness, but not just the physical aspect. Losing the pregnancy weight would be an ideal aim, but she wants to gain muscle, burn fat, and increase her endurance too. “I want to keep up with my children when we go to the park. I want to be strong enough to carry them around without breaking a sweat.” Tahirah says.

Most importantly to Tahirah, she wants to mentally feel like herself again, not just feel like a wife and mum.

“I always say as a mum we work so hard for everyone else.  But this is something I want to do for me. I'm no longer willing to pour from an empty cup.”
