Gym, classes and fitness
We're dedicated to helping our members stay fit and well in whatever way suits them.
Our gym is a place where you can spend as much or as little time as you wish and get a great workout, with a range of equipment versatile enough to accommodate everyone.
The gym is open 6.00am – 10.00pm Monday to Friday, and 7.45am – 7.30pm Saturdays and Sundays.
We offer a range of memberships which give you access to our fitness facilities.
Alternatively, we also welcome day visitors - simply create your free Places membership before visiting.
Pay as you go visitors are currently charged £8.90 per session.

Cycle Revolution
All group cycling classes are not created equal, so why just turn up and hope that the class fits your style, whether that's a full-on power-driven sweat-fest, a good session to great music, or a social family ride? We've arranged our group cycling classes so you can find the one that suits you.
Cycle Beats
Get ready to party! Bop and bounce your way through this mixed intensity class with an epic play list and rock-star instructor!
Cycle Power
Love data? What to know what you're really achieving in your cycling sessions? This instructor-led workout will really push you to the limits & get results!
Cycle Technique
New to cycling classes? Or just want a taster? This session gives guidance on bike set up, cycle technique and shows you what our group cycle sessions are all about. There'll be no stopping you!
Cycle Family
Want some quality family time but a decent workout too? Improve your fitness together in these mixed-intensity, instructor-led sessions.
Studio classes
Offering a range of intensities from gentle and relaxing to a more intensive workout, you’ll be able to find a class that suits you.
Aqua classes
Classes range from gentle to high impact so you can work hard and enjoy the support of the pool improving strength and fitness.
Les Mills classes
Les Mills classes are enjoyed all over the world and include Body Pump, Body Combat, Body Balance, Body Attack and Sh’bam.
Gym support
We offer a free one-to-one support session for our members* to help familiarise you with the gym, to get to know your goals and build a bespoke digital programme using state-of-the-art EGYM Fitness Hub & Tanita Body Composition scales. We’ll ensure you leave the session feeling confident and ready to start your programme. The session lasts for an hour and can be booked online.

You are also welcome to book one free 15-minute programme review a month, just speak to a member of our team.
Our gyms are not always manned, but rest assured support is never far away. Our equipment is labelled with QR codes, which when scanned, provide you with a video tutorial.

Gym etiquette
We want everyone's time in our gym to be as comfortable as possible, so we ask all visitors to remember the below when using the facilities.
- Please help us keep the gym clean by wiping down equipment after use
- Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the activity you're doing
- Lifting barefoot or in socks is permitted on lifting platforms only
- Make use of our lockers for bags
- Our gym's aren't always manned, so if you require assistance or support when there are no team members on the gym floor, please visit our friendly reception team
- In case of emergency, push the assistance alarm
- During busy times, please be mindful of the length of time you spend on each piece of equipment to allow other gym users to complete their workout
Junior Gym etiquette
- A gym induction must be completed before using the gym
- 1 adult (18 years+) can attend with up to four Junior members and is responsible for the Junior member's conduct
- You must follow all exercise programme advice given by our Fitness team

Big Sister project
Big Sister helps girls aged 9-15 in target areas feel ‘sport ready’ by recruiting a network of ‘big sisters’ to empower and enable girls to enjoy sport, exercise, and physical activity during puberty.
As part of our commitment to helping girls get into activity we are offering a free membership to girls who meet the eligibility criteria*, or a 50% discounted membership for all other girls, which includes:
- Unlimited gym use during Junior Gym hours, which includes a gym induction (11-15 year olds)
- Unlimited swimming
- Age appropriate group workout classes including exclusive We Move classes every Tuesday 4.00pm - 5.00pm for ages 11-15.
- Friendly on-site team, to support you through your activity
- Free access to Places Leisure App and Virtual Studio which includes a Big Sister channel

Older adult activities
We also offer a range of activities and clubs for our older adult members and visitors at Wyre Forest Leisure Centre - from our Forever Active Aerobics, and Aqua Fit sessions in our pool.

We run a range of activities specially designed with the more senior members and visitors in mind. Please see the full list of sessions below:
Forever Active Aerobics
Suitable for older adults or those new to exercise, Forever Active is a low impact keep fit class with an extended warm up to maintain and improve co ordination, flexibility, strength and fitness.
Times:
- Monday: 11am - 12pm
- Wednesday: 11.30am - 12.30pm
- Thursday 11.15am - 12.15am
£4.35 per session.
Walking Netball
Times:
- Mondays 2.00pm - 3.00pm
- Fridays 2.00pm - 3.00pm
£3.30 per session.
Walking Football
Run by Kidderminster Harriers FC.
Times:
- Mondays 10.30am - 11.30am
- Fridays 10.30am - 11.30am
£3.50 per session.
Gentle Water Swim
An allocated section of the pool is set aside for gentler aquatic exercise - stationary water exercises, walking or gentle swimming.
Times:
- Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 7.15pm - 8.00pm
- Thursdays 11.15am
£4.90 per session.

To use the below community centre classes, clients need to pay a membership fee of £18, which runs from April-March.

Junior fitness
We believe a physically active child is much more likely to become a physically active adult. We run the following supervised sessions for children aged 11-15 years to attend.
Junior fitness
We take fitness and wellbeing of our younger visitors as seriously as we do our adult members, that's why we have a range of activities specifically designed for junior members and visitors.
Junior gym
We run the following supervised sessions for children aged 11-15 years to attend. All junior gym users must complete a group induction before using the gym independently. These sessions last 30 minutes and can be booked with a member of our team when joining.
An induction will need to be completed at each centre to be used
Session times and prices:
- Monday to Friday: 4.00pm-4.45pm | 4.45pm-5.30pm
- Pay as you move junior induction: £18.00
- Pay as you move junior gym session: £4.50
- Junior members induction and sessions: free
Once a junior member has completed their induction and received programme advice they can attend outside the above supervised sessions with a parent/guardian or appropriate adult (16+) on a ratio of a maximum four juniors per adult.
Booking junior fitness sessions
You can book onto any of our sessions by selecting your chosen activity and time under the 'Kids' tab on our timetable.
