Our amazing Clip 'n Climb arena at The Bridge Leisure Centre includes 14 fun themed climbing experiences and 19 individual climbing lines up to a maximum height of 7.5 metres, each showcasing striking designs.

Twister
Have you ever tried to climb a crooked staircase? Well now’s your chance! Twist and turn to get to the top with lots of over hangs to keep you on your toes. If that’s not enough try twister two to challenge yourself even further with only under cut handles.

Jungle Gym
Race your friends up the Jungle Gym onto the cargo net. Feel like you’re on a real army course racing up and down the jungle gym!

Astro Ball
Challenge not just your self but your friends! Our Astro Ball has 3 sides to take on to get the top of several balls stacked onto of each other. All sides have slightly different difficulty levels so team work will be an essential to get to the top!

Stairway to heaven
With the stairway to heaven test your courage balance by winding your way up the bright green poles step by step to be standing at the top of heaven.

Steelworks
Steelworks will test your nerve as you have to climb a steel door frame to get to the top. Feeling exposed with not much to hold onto shimmy your way up to the top just like you’ve seen in the movies.

Zig Zag
Zig zag your way up the wall traversing your way cross this menacing wall, each step will test your hand and foot work and take you higher with each move you make.

Aliens have landed! This climb is a great feature to test your rock climbing skills as not every hand hold is never as it seems. With difficult sections the higher you go.

Tree Trunk
Everyone love climbing trees… but a square tree trunk? Unusual for sure! This is a beautiful recycled tree, laminated and moisture cured to maintain its good looks. Face to Face
Race your mate to the top of this very popular element. This stimulating and highly original climbing challenge uses commercial gauge clear acrylic. Heaps of options for interactive fun, with climbers on both sides striving to be first to the top. Use the slopers, jugs, side pulls and under clings to good advantage or challenge your mate to 'mirror' your moves!

Leap of Faith
Come and take the Leap of Faith from our 7.5m high platform and see if you have the courage to jump. Climb up the side of our Crain onto the plat form and take the leap to touch the punch bag hanging in front.

Our amazing instructors will get you scaling our main wall. The range of climbing that we have means that we have something for everyone. Suitable for Children aged 4+.

Party Tea
We can offer you an area to host your party tea in. Tables and chairs/benches will be provided. However, we do ask you to supply the plates, cups, napkins and food. Your party tea room can be accessed 15 minutes before your party starts, you then have 45 minutes for your party tea after your party ends. The cost is £30 for the 2 hours.

Schools
We provide the opportunity for students to learn outside of the class room either as part of an enrichment programme or reward. Activities have many physical benefits including development of agility, balance, co-ordination and strength as well meeting other key objectives such as problem solving, teamwork and communication.
We can accommodate up to 20 students in each session in the arena. Each session is 1 hour and 15 minutes, including a 15 minute safety briefing and harnessing and a 60 minute climb. Minimum of 8 climbers for school sessions.
We can also combine climbing activities with other activities in our centre for larger groups for example football, badminton, trampolining, fitness activities and more. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

We welcome working with all community groups and can offer exclusive bookings at times to fit around you!

FAQs
Q: When is Clip n’ Climb open?
A: We are open all year around. View our climbing times.
Q: Am I allowed in the climbing arena if I’m not climbing?
A: Up to 6 spectators are allowed in the climbing arena, however they will be required to watch the safety briefing video with their children before they come in.
Q: Are there any age or weight restrictions?
A : The minimum age is 4 with no maximum age and the maximum weight is 22 stone.
Q: Do I need to bring anything with me?
A: All you will need to bring is yourself. Closed toe shoes like trainers (no flip flops, crocs & sandals) and a hair band if you have long hair and we provide the rest.
Q: When should I arrive for my session?
A: Please arrive 15 minutes before your session starts to fill out forms and be ready to start the session on time. You have to watch the safety briefing video every time before your session, even if you have watched it before. You may be asked to wait to allow for the safe set up of programmes or exit of classes before yours. On arriving, please make your way to Reception. Our Placemakers will be available to point you in the right direction and give you the consent form to fill in.
Q: How long does a session last?
A: Each session consists of a 15 minute briefing and 60 minute climb.

Participation statement
Clip ‘n Climb at The Bridge is a potentially dangerous activity that could lead to serious injury if safety procedures are not followed. All participants are required to follow and adhere to the guidance given in the safety briefing video, on the ‘Rules for Climbers’ poster and any additional safety information given by centre staff. These rules have been put in place for the safety and well-being of all participants and High Places Clip ‘n Climb at The Bridge cannot be held responsible for any participants acting outside of them.
Clip ‘n Climb activity equipment is provided and operated by Places for People Leisure Limited. It is a condition of your use of the equipment that you follow the safety information below, the advice on the safety briefing video and any instruction given by the instructors. Failure to follow this advice will result in you being asked to leave the climbing session.
The following points should be noted and agreed:
- Bookings may only be made by those aged over 16 years of age. Parents or guardians making bookings for those aged over 8 years of age need not attend or climb, however if they want to, they must book their own tickets. Any child under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult who will remain responsible for the welfare of that child at all times during the climbing session. The lead person making the party / group booking will be agreeing the Terms and Conditions on behalf of all climbers.
- The minimum age for a climber is 4 years old.
- The maximum weight limit for a climber is 22 stone / 150kg.
- Climbers must not walk or stand on the coloured warning mats beneath a climb.
- Climbers must not climb without a harness and without a trained member of staff clipping them onto the wall.
- Climbers must not “pull down” on the rope whilst climbing.
- Appropriate footwear is a must for this activity, so no flip-flops, heeled or open shoes may be worn. Ensure any shoe laces are properly tied
- Climbers should wear comfortable, appropriate clothing for climbing. All climbers must follow the clothing regulations, which include removing inappropriate jewellery, ‘securing’ any glasses and tying back long hair. Lockers are provided on site for valuables to be stored.
- No chalk is permitted on the climbing elements.
- By participating in a Clip ‘n Climb session, all climbers acknowledge that this activity requires a moderate level of fitness and is physically testing and that any physical activity carries an inherent risk of bumps, bruises and minor injury. If you do not follow the safety guidance given there is a significant risk of serious injury.
- In order to cancel a booking a minimum of 24 hours’ notice prior to the start of the session must be given. Cancellations of parties / group bookings will require 7 days’ notice prior to the start of the session.
- Cold drinks are permitted in the climbing arena, however food, chewing gum and hot drinks are not allowed.
- Due to the nature of the safety briefing, late attendance may result in you being unable to participate in the session
