Travel and parking
Visitors to our centre can park in our car park free of charge, while we are only 15 minutes walk from Tewkesbury town centre.

Our café
We offer ethically sourced regular and decaffeinated freshly ground bean-to-cup coffees and teas. Take a break in our relaxing café setting, or simply grab a cup to take away as you leave.
We also offer a variety of sandwiches, savoury pastries and freshly toasted paninis, along with tempting handmade muffins, oat bars and cakes for a taste of indulgence.
Or, why not try one of our sandwich meal deals to accompany your Cappuccino or Latte? For younger visitors, we offer a children’s meal bag with a variety of nutritious and healthier items together with that occasional treat!
We respectively request that only food and drink purchased on our premises can be consumed on site. However, we do understand that exceptions need to be made where there are specific dietary requirements that we cannot cater for.
Our café is open 6.00am - 7.00pm Monday - Friday and 7.30am - 5.00pm at weekends.

We supply a wide range of Zoggs swimwear for children and adults as well as a selection of toys and fun training aids. Our staff are always on hand to understand your needs and assist you in finding the right product for you.

NPLQ training courses
We are proud to offer a number of training courses at Tewkesbury Leisure Centre, both in relation to first aid and lifeguarding.

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
NPLQ is widely accepted by swimming pools in the UK and Ireland as a minimum qualification as a role of a lifeguard within the swimming pool.
The NPLQ course includes 3 sections:
- Section 1 - The lifeguard and the Law, Swimming Pool and Supervision
- Section 2 - Intervention and Rescue and Emergency Action Plans
- Section 3 - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid.
- Section 4 - AED
The course includes swimming pool rescue skills, basic life support, basic First Aid, managing a casualty suffering from a spinal injury, managing a swimming pool environment, identifying hazards that could cause harm to users and much more.
Every candidate attending a NPLQ course must be 16-years-old at the time of taking the NPLQ final assessment and be able to:
- Jump/dive into deep water
- Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
- Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water
- Tread water for 30 seconds
- Surface dive to the floor of the pool
- Climb out unaided without ladder/steps and where the pool design allows
Successful candidates will receive:
- RLSS NPLQ certificate for each candidate
- RLSS NPLQ Lifeguard manual for each candidate
- Handouts and revision sheets for each candidate
First Aid at Work 2 day renewal
This 2 day course refreshes and updates the first aid skills of those who need to renew their First Aid at Work certificate (within the 3 year validity). The course will reassess the competency of those attending.
As a pre-requisite, candidates must hold an existing FAAW certificate to enrol onto a 2 day First Aid at Work renewal course.
Successful candidates will receive:
- Royal Lifesaving Society First Aid at Work certificate
- First Aid at Work manual
Annual First Aid 3 hour refresher
To provide adequate training to enable first aid to be given in the workplace.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) strongly recommend that holders of a First Aid at Work qualification refresh skills annually by attending a refresher session.
You must hold a current First Aid at Work qualification to attend the course.
The session covers responsibilities of a First Aider, casualty assessment and casualty treatment.
Successful candidates will receive a certificate.
