Sports at Places Leisure Camberley
From booking a court with friends or learning a sport for the first time our centre has something that’s right for you. We work hard with the National Governing Bodies of a number of sports to fill our facilities with ideas that are fun and engaging.
Most of our sports are available to book online.
To do this you'll either need to be a member, or sign up for a free Places Membership.
Badminton
Badminton is an easy sport to learn and can be a very social game. The speed of the shuttlecock also makes this one of the quickest of the racket sports. It can be played at any pace making it enjoyable for all ages.
We offer a variety of badminton sessions. All sessions can be booked via the timetable below.
Football
Looking for an indoor five-a-side pitch? We offer plenty of slots to book a five-a-side pitch for you and a group of friends.
Spaces are available every day, and can be booked via our timetable.
Cricket lessons
Our indoor cricket lessons are suited to children aged 5 to 12 years who are looking to get into the sport, improve their confidence and equip them with the skills needed to take the hobby further.
Cricket lessons at Places Leisure Camberley
The benefits of cricket go beyond the sport itself, helping to lay the foundations for a healthy and active lifestyle, along with aiding everyday skills such as reflex, concentration, spatial awareness and agility.
Cricket lessons will take place in our indoor sports hall.
Lessons will run for 45 weeks, excluding the school summer holidays and 2 weeks at Christmas.
Times and prices
- Wednesday 4.45pm - 5.45pm for ages 5-12
- £27.00 per month payable by direct debit (plus £15.00 admin fee)
Our lessons will be taught by a level 2 ECB coach

Forever Active sessions
We run forever active sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays for older adults so that you can socialise, look after your health, and maybe even take up a new sport! Take a look at some of our sessions below, and book through the timetable.

All of the above cost £61 per court/pitch and can be booked via our timetable.

Rushmoor Royals Swimming Club
Affiliated to Swim England, they offer high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of their team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve their swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from the novice to international competitor.
3 Counties Triathlon Club
Triathlon focussed swim session for all abilities. Over the years, they've have 19 members compete at GB age group level, one turning professional and many working to tackle the Ironman distance.
Shentie Martial Arts
Shentie Mixed Martial Arts trains to the highest levels with multiple world champions in Kickboxing and Karate. Classes are for all ages and skill levels. So whether its fitness, self defence or ring fighting, start your Martial Arts journey with Shentie.
U3A Farnborough
The u3a movement has been learning, staying active and having fun for 40 years - showcasing what it means to have a positive later life. Visit their website to find out what events are happening near you.
Runneymede Royals Pickleball Club
Pickleball is a hybrid sport combining elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. It is played on a badminton court, mainly as doubles. Great athletic ability is not important. The sport appeals to all age groups (RRPC is 18+) and even to those for whom traditional racquet sports are proving a little too strenuous.
Sports4Kids
S4K Football is available to toddlers and kids from 18 months to 14 years. Each class has a dedicated curriculum and Practice@Home book so that you can help your child to develop their skill level outside of the class.
Rushmoor Synchronised Swimming Club
There are lots of opportunities to join the club, whatever your age or ability including Waterkids for 6-8 year olds, Adult Sync and Swim classes for over 18s wanting to give synchro a try and Masters for those aged 18+ with previous artistic swimming experience.
Carpe Krav Maga
Krav Maga educates people in the subjects of self defence, self protection, fighting and combat skills, as well as skills to defend others. Krav Maga is taught in a unique and comprehensive manner and was developed in Israel under realistic conditions.
Playball
The aim of Playball is to introduce young children to constructive and enjoyable sport participation through various age-appropriate programmes. All of the programmes have a "multi-activity" approach, ensuring a competent foundation in all the popular sports played at school.
Camberley Taekwon-do Club
Taekwondo is a martial art that mostly features high-kicking moves and manoeuvres, in particular spinning/jumping kicks, head kicks and fast kicking styles.
Rushmoor Netball Club
A high performance netball club with a long reputation for producing talented athletes and teams that continue to compete at regional level. We pride ourselves on being a friendly yet competitive club aiming to coach our players as individuals in a safe, supportive environment.
Sport in Mind
Transforming the lives and mental health of children and adults through sport and physical activity, they deliver fun sport and physical activity programmes for adults (17+) and young people (9-16 years). You can take part for as little or as long as you like... and most importantly you don't have to be super sporty or super fit!
