Our Adult Education manager will discuss your test results and refer you to the appropriate course to continue your learning and improve your proficiency. No need to book, just ask for a test at reception.
English conversation
If you already have a basic knowledge of English, this course will help you build up your knowledge of and confidence in English conversation and in speaking English in everyday situations. It will also help you improve your pronunciation and learn a little about English life and culture. It is not necessary to be following another course in English.

Elementary English
Our Elementary course is designed for students who would like to be able to communicate in everyday situations. This course focuses on the 4 skills of language learning- speaking, writing, reading and listening- reinforced by grammar and vocabulary taught in a highly communicative and fun way.
Topics include: greetings, your neighbourhood, the weather, ordering at a restaurant, the past, future plans and much more.

International English Language course (IELTS)
Designed for non-native English speakers to help you achieve your ambition of working or studying in a country where English is spoken, this course will prepare you for the 4 main skill areas of the International English Language Testing System test: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
Being successful in this test will help you:
- Apply for jobs and pursue university studies in the UK
- Support a visa application to live in an English-speaking country
- Certify your level of English
The teacher for this course, David Wilson, has the Royal Society of Arts Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Adults.

Intermediate English courses
Our Intermediate English course is designed for students who have studied English to B1 level and wish to study the language at a deeper level. Not only do we study the 4 main skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, but we also study phrasal verbs, vocabulary collocations, and grammar.
This course is suited to students wishing to improve their English so they can enter the world of work, students who are planning to do the PET or FCE exams, or those who want to be able to communicate better in their daily life. The course is also suitable for those needing to prepare for visa or citizen applications.
