Swimming lessons
Our team follows the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework to deliver swimming lessons. We use fun and games to build water confidence from the first splash to a lifetime of loving swimming and being safe in the water.

Learning to swim is an essential life skill - if you can swim you can enjoy all of the exciting activities that the water has to offer. We offer lessons for all ages and all of our lessons are taught by qualified teachers. Our team follows the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework to deliver swimming lessons.

Children's lessons
- Pre-school lessons for babies and toddlers 0-5 years

- Aquatics skills lessons - Competitive Swimming, Rookie Lifesaving, Synchronised Swimming and Water Polo.
To practice their swimming skills, all children on our swimming lesson programme benefit from free swimming in selected pool sessions.

Adult Swimming Lessons

Join us for some quality time in the pool with your baby! A safe place for your baby to get to know the water and learn through play, your child will gain the confidence and skills needed to help them through their development and swimming experience with our teachers on hand to guide you how to support them. Perfect for babies aged 3-18 months.

Family Fun

Inflatable Fun
Come and have the ultimate fun on our pool inflatable!
Life jackets are mandatory in this session and the pool floor is set to its lowest depth at 180cm. Session not advisable for non-swimmers.
Minimum age of 5. 1 adult to 1 child under the age of 8.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the session start time, to allow safety briefing, and the issue of life jackets. Any delay may affect you taking part in the session.

Aqua classes
We operate a number of Aquatic classes throughout the week.
- Aquafit - A total body workout. Aquafit ensures that you use every muscle in your body by using the water as resistance. The water takes out the impact of the moves and you can work at your own level and achieve results!
- Aqua Natal – The perfect way to exercise safely during and after pregnancy. Fun and relaxing, giving you an opportunity to make new friends and feel weightless in the water.

We also have a splash pad available, as well as a pool pod for assisted access to our main pool.
Please note during shared lane swimming and school lessons the pool depth will be set to 0.9m.

Over 60's can swim free at the following times:
- Tuesday - 2.45pm - 3.45pm
- Friday - 9.30am - 10.15am
- Sunday - 8.00am - 8.45am

All children aged 3 and under swim free.

We have a number of courses available.
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
NPLQ is widely accepted by swimming pools in the UK and Ireland as a minimum qualification as a role of a lifeguard within the swimming pool. We deliver the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, which is a five day intensive course followed by an external assessment, required to supervise a pool used for open public swimming.
The NPLQ course includes 3 sections:
- Section 1 - The lifeguard and the Law, Swimming Pool and Supervision
- Section 2 - Intervention and Rescue and Emergency Action Plans
- Section 3 - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid.
- Section 4 - AED
The course includes swimming pool rescue skills, basic life support, basic First Aid, managing a casualty suffering from a spinal injury, managing a swimming pool environment, identifying hazards that could cause harm to users and much more.

Rookie Lifeguard Sessions
Rookie Lifeguarding sessions offer key skills such as teamwork, life skills and a linear progression to completing the further NPLQ course, providing opportunities to start your lifeguarding career. Our sessions are offered to children in stages 6 and above.
Our sessions run Friday evenings 6.30pm - 7.00pm in our main pool. Occasionally using the studio for any dryside training.
Courses are priced at £30.50 with an additional £15 joining fee.

SWIMTAG
SWIMTAG is the latest, waterproof wearable technology that helps you track your swim strokes, lengths, times and calories burned. You can enter challenges and competitions to compete against other swimmers or your own personal best.

Keep up to date
SWIMTAG keeps you up to date with your progress and achievements; we will notify you of your new personal best as well as competitions and challenges. Plus you’ll get notifications from your local pool on the latest news and events.
Challenges
Challenge yourself and others to take on an epic swim. Select a start and finish date for your challenge and SWIMTAG will update your progress as you move along the map. Invite your swim mates to join you and you could find yourself racing across the Channel or around the Isle of Wight!
Rule the Pool
Rule the Pool is a weekly competition for you to compare your swim against past swims and measure your progression over time against yourself and others. You will be able to upload a 400m swim (using any stroke) every week during any public session. Your 400m time will be added to an interactive league table which is published every Sunday night.
