Neurodivergent initiatives at Gosport Leisure Centre
Fun in and out of the pool
At our centre, we run a range of neurodivergent friendly activities for those with learning difficulties or special educational needs. Each session will consist of a smaller capacity compared to our regular sessions with assistance available from our amazing staff, some of whom have been trained by Autism Hampshire to ensure that you and/or your child are provided with the best support!
Active Play & Bounce
Our exciting and fun-filled activity sessions has a variety of activity zones on offer, including soft play, inflatables, and so much more!

Family Fun swimming
Our Family Fun swimming sessions are perfect for families and young adults to come and enjoy the pool together

Just Swim
Open swim sessions with fewer to no lanes. Carers or parents are welcome to join the swim sessions for free

Children swimming lessons
Our SEND swimming lessons teach important life skills including how to be safe in the water and how to swim to work towards new badges and certificates each week.
- Stages 1 & 2 - Thursdays, 6.00pm - 6.30pm
- Stages 3 & 4 - Fridays, 3.30pm - 4.00pm
Adult swimming lessons
Never learnt how to swim or just want to build your confidence? We offer adult SEND swimming lessons for individuals aged 18+ because it is never too late to start learning!

- 6.30pm - 7.00pm

If you, or any of your family would like to see the centre before your session, we can book in a pre-session tour with the team. Please speak to a member of the team or call us to organise this. Similarly, we have an Inclusion Specialist and Aquatic Inclusion Specialist on site who you can book an appointment with if you wish.
