Sports at Gosport Leisure Centre
From booking a court with friends or learning a sport for the first time our centre has something that’s right for you. We work hard with the National Governing Bodies of a number of sports to fill our facilities with ideas that are fun and engaging.
Most of our sports are available to book online.
To do this you'll either need to be a member, or sign up for a free Places Membership.
Badminton
Badminton is an easy sport to learn and can be a very social game. The speed of the shuttlecock also makes this one of the quickest of the racket sports. It can be played at any pace making it enjoyable for all ages.
We offer a variety of badminton sessions including our No Strings sessions for all ages - just turn up, pay and play.

No strings badminton
No strings badminton is a participation programme offering weekly fun, social pay and play sessions. No Strings offers low-cost local badminton, bringing the nation’s favourite racket sport to an even bigger audience.

Football
At Gosport Leisure Centre we have 9 outdoor football pitches that can be hired out on both a one-off or regular basis. Book your pitch through the timetable below or try out one of our sessions and courses.

Off-Peak pitch hire
Monday to Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm
Saturday from 7.00am - 12.00pm
5-a-side:
- Adult (16+) - £33 per hour
- Junior (under 16) - £19 per hour
7-a-side:
- Adult (16+) - £49 per hour
- Junior (under 16) - £27.30 per hour
Peak time pitch hire
All other times
5-a-side:
- Adult (16+) - £45 per hour
- Junior (under 16) - £27.30 per hour
7-a-side:
- Adult (16+) - £61 per hour
- Junior (under 16) - £38 per hour

Pay and play
Available Monday - Sunday 9.00am - 5.00pm. A minimum of 2 hours is guaranteed with these sessions. Additional time is subject to availability, please speak to a member of the team for more information.

Pickleball
Pickleball is a new exciting sport which combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. It is a fun and competitive way to exercise, suitable for all levels of ability.
Wednesday 4.00pm - 5.00pm, £3.75 per session.
Suitable for those aged 8 years and over. Under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult (16+)

Pickleball
Pickleball is a racket or paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis to create a fun game that is easy to learn and hard to master. Pickleball has seen a recent uptake in popularity and it can be played in pairs or doubles.

Pickleball
Pickleball is a fun sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, over a net. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly, the rules are simple and the games is easy for beginners.
No special equipment is required and any comfortable clothing is fine. Trainers / tennis shoes are recommended.
