Our amazing Clip 'n Climb arena at Dover District Leisure Centre includes 16 fun themed climbing experiences and 20 individual climbing lines up to a maximum height of 7.5 metres, each showcasing striking designs.

This is a perfect wall for beginners and nervous climbers! It will help you build your confidence up before you try some more challenging walls.

Twister
This is a great climbing challenge, where you can peep round the corners at the other climber. Holds are 'jugs' on one side and 'underclings' on the other side. Test your sense of balance and discover new ways to the top.

Vertical Drop Slide
In this extraordinary experience, you will be kitted out in a skydive suit and a helmet. Holding on to a handlebar, you are pulled up the face of the slide. At the 9-metre high top, you can let go at any time you choose (or have the courage…) for a 3-metre freefall, before sliding seamlessly down the slide, through the radius and up to the end of the slide. Enjoy the truly exhilarating adrenaline rush of dropping into the void from a great height! You must be 1.2m tall to ride the drop slide
Leap of Faith
You must be 1.2m tall to take the leap of faith.
This adrenaline pumping challenge is immensely popular. The goal is to climb up the central pole and onto the jump platform, from where you will leap out to touch the hanging bag. Diving into space from the top can be a mental and emotional challenge... a real personal challenge for many!

Your 1hr session includes filling in participation statement, an initial safety briefing and harness fitting.

Safety information
Please note that appropriate footwear is a must for this activity, so no flip-flops, climbing shoes, heeled or open toed shoes may be worn. Ensure any shoe laces are properly tied. Climbers must arrive climb ready, and should wear comfortable, appropriate clothing for climbing. No skirts, dresses or hoodies can be worn. All climbers must follow the clothing regulations, which include removing inappropriate jewellery, ‘securing’ any glasses, and tying back long hair. No chalk is permitted on the climbing elements.
Climbing Parties
When you book one of our parties, there is no fuss and no mess for you to clear up. You, your child and their friends have all the fun whilst we do the work for you.
Our parties are 1 hour 45 minutes in duration, 1 hour in the arena and 45 minutes in the party room.
Clip 'n Climb parties
Party sessions will last for 1 hour; this consists of a 15 minute briefing and 45 minute climb in our clip n climb arena. With parties you also get use of a room after for 45 minutes for food and drink.
We will supply tables and chairs but are unable to provide food and drink. If you would like music please bring along your own Bluetooth speaker. Don’t worry about cleaning up afterwards as we will do that for you.

Schools
We provide the opportunity for students to learn outside of the class room either as part of an enrichment programme or reward. Activities have many physical benefits including development of agility, balance, co-ordination and strength as well meeting other key objectives such as problem solving, teamwork and communication.
We can accommodate up to 20 students in each 45 minute sessions in the arena.
We can also combine climbing activities with other activities in our centre for larger groups for example football, badminton, trampolining, fitness activities and more. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

We welcome working with all community groups and can offer special rates for larger group bookings, daytime sessions and special discounts for all sections of the Scout and Guide movement.

Climbing FAQs
Q: When is Clip n’ Climb open?
A: We are open all year around. View our climbing times.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Dress code - no hoodies, no necklaces/hooped earrings, no opened toe shoes/sandals/crocs. Long hair must be tied back.
Q: Are there any age or weight restrictions?
A : The minimum age is 4 with no maximum age and the maximum weight is 22 stone.
Q: Do I need to bring anything with me?
A: All you will need to bring is yourself, closed shoes (trainers) and a hair band if you have long hair and we provide the rest.
Q: When should I arrive and what should I do?
A: Please arrive 10 minutes before your session, and check in with one of the team at Reception.
Q: How long does a session last?
A: Each session consists of a 15 minute briefing and 45 minute climb.
Q: How many climbers are allowed per session?
A: 22 climbers will be allowed per session.

Participation statement
Clip ‘n Climb at Dover District Leisure Centre is a potentially dangerous activity that could lead to serious injury if safety procedures are not followed. All participants are required to follow and adhere to the guidance given in the safety briefing video, on the ‘Rules for Climbers’ poster and any additional safety information given by centre staff. These rules have been put in place for the safety and well-being of all participants and Clip ‘n Climb at Dover District Leisure Centre cannot be held responsible for any participants acting outside of them.
Clip ‘n Climb activity equipment is provided and operated by Places for People Leisure Limited. It is a condition of your use of the equipment that you follow the safety information below, the advice on the safety briefing video and any instruction given by the instructors. Failure to follow this advice will result in you being asked to leave the climbing session.
The following points should be noted and agreed:
- Bookings may only be made by those aged over 16 years of age. Parents or guardians making bookings for those aged over 8 years of age need not attend or climb, however if they want to, they must book their own tickets. Any child under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult who will remain responsible for the welfare of that child at all times during the climbing session. The lead person making the party / group booking will be agreeing the Terms and Conditions on behalf of all climbers.
- The minimum age for a climber is 4 years old.
- The maximum weight limit for a climber is 22 stone / 150kg.
- Climbers must not walk or stand on the coloured warning mats beneath a climb.
- Climbers must not climb without a wearing a harness fitted by a trained member of staff.
- Climbers must not “pull down” on the rope whilst climbing.
- Appropriate footwear is a must for this activity, so no flip-flops, heeled or open toed shoes may be worn. Ensure any shoe laces are properly tied.
- Climbers should wear comfortable, appropriate clothing for climbing. All climbers must follow the clothing regulations, which include removing inappropriate jewellery, ‘securing’ any glasses and tying back long hair. Lockers are provided on site for valuables to be stored.
- No chalk is permitted on the climbing elements.
- By participating in a Clip ‘n Climb session, all climbers acknowledge that this activity requires a moderate level of fitness and is physically testing and that any physical activity carries an inherent risk of bumps, bruises and minor injury. If you do not follow the safety guidance given there is a significant risk of serious injury.
- In order to cancel a booking a minimum of 48 hours’ notice prior to the start of the session must be given. Cancellations of parties / group bookings will require 7 days’ notice prior to the start of the session.
- Cold drinks are permitted in the climbing arena, however food, chewing gum and hot drinks are not allowed.
