We offer a wide range of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy in and out of the pool.
From activities to keep the little ones active during the school holidays, to parties for that special day, to fun and active ways to spend some quality family time together - we have something for everyone.
Swim for all
Fun for all the family as you enjoy a dip in our swimming pool at Blyth Sports Centre.
Soft play
Our three-storey beach-themed soft play area will keep the kids active and entertained and is perfect for those budding surfers, sunbathers and sailors alike!
Kids can also have great fun in the toddler play zone and sail the high seas on the wooden ship.
Our 75 minute sessions are suitable for children up to 10 years of age.
Mams on the move
Our Mams on the Move programme is fantastic for keeping expectant mothers, and new mams, as well as their babies, healthy and active.
At Blyth Sports Centre, we offer aqua natal in the swimming pool and Mamatone in our group exercise studio for mams looking for classes specifically designed to suit their needs.
Mams on the Move
Our Mams on the Move sessions are designed to support pre and postnatal mams into a safe and supported community to help encourage a healthy lifestyle, physically and emotionally.
The specially curated ante and post natal classes are led by fully qualified pre and post natal instructors
As well as the fitness aspect of the classes, Mams on the Move is the perfect way to meet new mums and share your experiences. We would love to welcome you and your little ones!

Frequently asked questions
Who are Mams on the Move classes for?
Mams on the Move classes and courses are for mams-to-be, new mams and their babies. We offer a mams 'HIIT' the spa class which is suitable for those parents who can no longer access our daytime programme. We also offer fun dance and movement classes, so your baby/toddler can get active and have fun too!
Do I need a Places Leisure membership to join the Mams on the Move sessions?
What is fantastic is that all Mams on the Move classes are included in your membership, but can also be joined on a pay as you go basis.
Where do the Mams on the Move sessions take place?
Our Mams on the Move sessions take place at some of our centres including Blyth, Berwick, Wentworth (Hexham), Morpeth and Concordia (Cramlington).
If you're a Places Leisure member, you can access any Mams on the Move session at any of the above centres.
