Two Column Placemaker Equality Diversity

Equality and diversity

Places for People, and in turn Places Leisure, is somewhere everyone is welcome. Our commitment to this is absolute. Without the voices of the entire community, we are unable to serve these communities effectively. To help us identify and address barriers to inclusion and belonging, Places for People actively encourages the participation in six groups championing change for the better. These include our:

Equality, diversity and inclusion

With representation in each of these communities from across the breadth of the enterprise, we can make a real difference to ensure everyone can bring their whole self to work and the organisation and its communities can benefit as a result.

Gender pay gap report

Companies employing 250 people or more are required to publish a Gender Pay Gap report each year. The report must contain certain statistics that seek to measure the gender pay gap. These statistics must also be provided to the Government.

Led by our culture and values, we go above the requirements and report on gender pay across the whole organisation, regardless of size, as well as fulfil our legal obligations.

Our latest Gender Pay Gap report, as at 5 April 2022, outlines gender pay across the organisation, as well as the breakdown for our companies which must legally publish their data.

What is the gender pay gap?

The gender pay gap is a measure of the difference between the average pay of men and women across the same organisation. It is not the same as equal pay, which relates to men and women being paid equally for equal work or work of equal value. This has been a legal requirement for many years and a matter of principle that we are committed to.
